Database read and modification via unparameterized query
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
SQL injection in OpenProject before 17.2.3 allows remote authenticated users with cost report access to read or modify database data. The =n cost-report operator passes parse_number_string output into an interpolated SQL WHERE expression after removing only locale delimiters, leaving SQL metacharacters active. Cost-report access is required, and successful injection can expose or alter any data available to the application database account.
