Code execution via malicious file out-of-bounds write
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Substance 3D Designer 15.1.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute code by supplying a malicious file. Adobe identifies the memory-safety error and file-opening vector but does not disclose the affected parser, file format, or incorrect bounds operation. Execution requires a local user to open the crafted file, and resulting code runs with that user's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
