Arbitrary file write via unsanitized archive paths
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Path traversal in Adobe Content Credentials SDKs c2pa-web 0.7.1 and c2pa 0.80.1 and earlier allows attackers to write files. Builder archive loaders discard normalized paths, while ResourceStore::add joins an unvalidated resource ID to base_path before writing. A victim must extract a malicious archive; resulting writes can escape intended directories with the victim process's permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
