Authenticated security bypass via path traversal
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Path traversal in Adobe ColdFusion 2023 Update 18 and 2025 Update 6 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to bypass path restrictions. Adobe has not disclosed the affected component or the pathname-validation operation that fails to confine an attacker-supplied path. Low-privileged network access is required; exploitation needs no user interaction and can interrupt service, with no reported data disclosure or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
