Unauthenticated account takeover via trusted billing email
Published Apr 15, 2026 · Updated Apr 15, 2026
Authentication bypass in Visa Acceptance Solutions 2.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to take over WordPress accounts via checkout. The express_pay_product_page_pay_for_order() function treats the billing_details email as an authenticated identity during guest subscription checkout without proving ownership, requiring a password, or validating a one-time token. Guest checkout for a subscription product is required; supplying an administrator's email creates that administrator's logged-in session and grants full site control.
