Shared PDF disclosure via incomplete session authorization
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Incorrect authorization in PdfDing before 1.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to read shared PDFs after access should end. The Serve and Download endpoints call check_shared_access_allowed(), which accepts an associated live session without checking SharedPdf.inactive or SharedPdf.deleted. A previously authorized session is required; the bypass preserves read access after expiration, the view limit, or soft deletion without enabling modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
