Command execution via share-token authentication bypass
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Authentication bypass in Patrick Hener goshs 1.1.0 through 2.0.0-beta.1 allows remote attackers with a share token to execute commands. BasicAuthMiddleware accepts tokens present in SharedLinks before checking credentials, then dispatches higher-priority handlers such as the WebSocket CLI. Exploitation requires a valid share token and user interaction to obtain it; with CLI mode enabled, the token grants command execution with the server process's privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
