Account takeover via unencoded category titles
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in CI4MS before 0.31.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through a blog category title. The create and edit flows store the title without sanitization, and public and administrative views render it without output encoding. Any account able to manage blog categories can plant a persistent payload that runs when another user opens an affected category, post, or administrative view, enabling actions in that viewer's session.
