Account takeover via stored menu post XSS
Published Apr 1, 2026 · Updated Apr 1, 2026
Stored XSS in CI4MS Menu Management before 0.31.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to take over accounts through crafted post data. The Posts workflow stores user-controlled menu data and renders it without output encoding in administrative dashboards and public navigation menus. Low-privileged access is required to plant a payload, which executes in another user's browser when a vulnerable menu view loads.
