Local tool crash via fixed-number stack overwrite
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in International Color Consortium iccDEV before 2.3.1.6 allows local users to crash profile-processing tools. CIccTagFixedNum<>::GetValues writes four bytes beyond the four-byte rv stack variable passed by CIccTagStruct::GetElemNumberValue while parsing a crafted ICC profile. Processing that profile through an affected command-line tool aborts the process; the published impact is limited to availability.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
