Tool crash via unchecked curve-table dereference
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Null-pointer dereference in iccDEV before 2.3.1.6 allows local users to crash profile-writing tools with a crafted ICC profile. CIccTagLut16::Write indexes a CIccTagCurve float table without first ensuring its pointer is non-null while serializing an extracted TIFF profile. Processing attacker-supplied profile data through iccTiffDump triggers the availability-only crash; no data read or modification is reported.
