Process crash via invalid enum value load
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Undefined behavior in iccDEV before 2.3.1.6 allows local users to crash an ICC-processing process with a crafted color profile. CIccCalculatorFunc::ApplySequence() loads an attacker-controlled numeric value as icChannelFuncSignature even when it falls outside the enum's valid range, producing undefined behavior during profile processing. The profile must be processed by an affected tool or application; the reported consequence is process termination without confidentiality or integrity impact.
