Authenticated bot reply triggering via wildcard authorization
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Authorization bypass in OpenClaw before 2026.3.8 allows remote authenticated users to trigger bot replies in allowlisted Teams routes. The Microsoft Teams message handler replaces an empty effective groupAllowFrom list with a wildcard when a team or channel route matches. Exposure requires groupPolicy set to allowlist, an allowlisted Teams route, and no effective sender entries; default unauthenticated access is unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
