Authentication bypass via pre-login wizard route override
Published Mar 30, 2026 · Updated Mar 30, 2026
Authentication bypass in ZTE ZXHN H188A 6.0.10P2_TE and 6.0.10P3N3_TE allows remote attackers to recover router credentials. For empty-path requests, router_logic_impl.lua trusts query-supplied _type and _tag values, bypasses the QuickSetupEnable gate, and dispatches unauthenticated credential-bearing wizard handlers. Access to the management interface from the local network is sufficient to retrieve WLAN and PPPoE credentials and derive the default administrator password.
