CVE-2026-34464Public exploit

Sandbox escape via unterminated named-pipe server field

Published May 5, 2026 · Updated May 5, 2026

Stack-based buffer overflow in Sandboxie-Plus Sandboxie 1.17.2 and earlier allows local users to execute code as SYSTEM. NamedPipeServer::OpenHandler passes an unterminated NAMED_PIPE_OPEN_REQ server field to wcscat, overrunning the fixed pipename stack buffer. Only sandboxed callers can reach this message family; successful exploitation escapes the sandbox, while failed attempts can crash SbieSvc.
