CVE-2026-34427Network attack vector

Super Administrator escalation via role_id injection

Published Apr 20, 2026 · Updated Apr 20, 2026

Privilege escalation in Vvveb before 1.0.8.1 allows remote authenticated users to gain Super Administrator access via a profile request. The save() method in admin/controller/user/user.php accepts a posted role_id for the current profile and persists it without restricting role changes by non-administrators. Any authenticated account can therefore assign role_id 1 to itself, gaining plugin-upload access that enables arbitrary PHP code execution.
