Platform takeover via tokenless plugin configuration requests
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in AVideo 26.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to overwrite plugin settings through an administrator's browser. The admin/save.json.php endpoint accepts posted plugin values without CSRF-token validation, while SameSite=None sends the administrator's session cookie cross-origin. A logged-in administrator must visit an attacker-controlled page; forged settings can redirect payments, replace storage credentials, or alter authentication providers.
