Account takeover via tokenless registration approval
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
CSRF in Admidio before 5.0.8 allows remote attackers to take over member accounts through registration approval requests. The create_user, assign_member, and assign_user modes in modules/registration.php accept state-changing GET parameters without validating a CSRF token. Exploitation requires a pending registration and a visit by a user with rol_approve_users; approval bypass or account takeover follows.
