Authenticated database hang or crash
Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026
Denial of service in Oracle MySQL Server allows remote authenticated users to cause a hang or repeatable crash through the MySQL Protocol. The affected Server: JSON component consumes resources incorrectly while processing attacker-controlled input, but Oracle has not disclosed the responsible function, JSON operation, or triggering input. Low-privileged database credentials and network access are required; affected releases are 8.0.0 through 8.0.45, 8.4.0 through 8.4.8, and 9.0.0 through 9.6.0, and the bounded consequence is service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.0.0 <=8.0.45
- Affected versionversion=8.4.0 <=8.4.8
