Cross-user broadcast hijacking via missing ownership checks
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Missing authorization in AVideo 26.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to hijack broadcasts through playlist schedules. The add.json.php endpoint accepts attacker-selected playlist and schedule IDs after checking only streaming capability, never ownership. Streaming permission is sufficient to rebroadcast content under another playlist owner's identity, disrupt streams, and consume that owner's bandwidth.
