Cross-site scripting via unescaped attribute interpolation
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Cross-site scripting in the attrs tag in mixxorz slippers before 0.6.3 allows remote attackers to inject JavaScript into rendered pages. The attr_string function in AttrsNode.render inserts untrusted context values into quoted HTML attributes with an f-string and no escaping. Exploitation requires an application to pass attacker-controlled data to the tag and a user to load the rendered page, exposing browser-session data and actions.
