Script execution via unescaped challenge destination
Published Mar 31, 2026 · Updated Mar 31, 2026
Reflected XSS in LibOps Captcha Protect before 1.12.2 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted challenge URL. The challenge renderer inserts the client-supplied destination into a hidden input with Go text/template, which lacks contextual HTML escaping. Exploitation requires a non-inline challenge URL and victim interaction; injected JavaScript runs in the protected application's origin.
