File disclosure and resource exhaustion via XXE
Published Aug 6, 2026 · Updated Aug 6, 2026
XXE in WSO2 SchemaValidator Mediator products allows remote authenticated users to read server files via crafted XML validation requests. The mediator's XML parser resolves external entities from user-supplied validation content instead of disabling external entity resolution. Access to a configured mediator flow with high privileges is required; exploitation also permits outbound requests and parser resource exhaustion.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.5.0 <4.5.0.52
