Authenticated host RCE via unescaped backup fields
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Jul 7, 2026
OS command injection in Coolify before 4.0.0-beta.471 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands on managed servers. DatabaseBackupJob embeds database usernames, passwords, and MongoDB collection exclusion names in shell commands without escaping or validation. Database management permissions and a configured backup are required; a crafted field executes as root when the backup job runs.
