Authenticated script execution via unescaped id parameter
Published Jul 1, 2026 · Updated Jul 1, 2026
Reflected XSS in The Guardian Language System through commit e42c395 allows remote authenticated users to run script via a crafted URL. The media.php page inserts the id GET value without encoding into a video source URL and a form action attribute, allowing injected markup to enter the response. A logged-in victim must open the crafted URL, after which the script runs in that victim's browser session and can act with that session's privileges.
