Session script execution via dropped response headers
Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026
Cross-site scripting in affected MediaWiki releases allows attackers to run JavaScript in a logged-in user's session through an action=raw link. ActionEntryPoint resolves a Special:MyPage redirect through a DerivativeRequest whose FauxResponse does not forward RawAction's content-type headers, returning raw page text as text/html. Attackers must place crafted text on a victim-accessible user subpage and induce the logged-in victim to open the link, which executes the text in the wiki's origin.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
