CVE-2026-34045Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated disruption and disclosure via exposed WebView server

Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

Resource exhaustion and information disclosure in Podman Desktop before 1.26.2 allow remote attackers to crash the app and expose system paths. The WebView HTTP server binds to all interfaces, accepts unauthenticated requests with any Referer value, leaves incomplete requests open without limits or timeouts, and returns Express stack traces for malformed paths. Network access to TCP port 44000 is sufficient; connection floods can crash the application or freeze the host, while malformed paths disclose routing details and, on Windows, usernames.
