Low-privilege file and branch access via missing authorization
Published Jun 15, 2026 · Updated Jun 15, 2026
Missing authorization in Wertheim SafeController Software 6.15.8328.28014 allows remote authenticated users to access restricted functions. Multiple ASP.NET MVC endpoints, including BranchController.Details, omit the PermissionFilter authorization check while accepting direct requests with attacker-selected branch identifiers. Any minimally privileged application account can switch branches, upload or download files, and read arbitrary branch details; the flaw alone does not grant unauthenticated access.
