Traffic decryption via breakable hard-coded cryptography

Cryptographic failure in Wertheim SafeController 65000 6.11.8130.22319 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to decrypt controller traffic. The controller protects communications with a custom algorithm and hard-coded keys whose encryption/decryption routine can be broken without knowing the key. The attacker must intercept sufficient traffic on the controller communication path; recovered plaintext and eventual key knowledge expose message confidentiality.
