Arbitrary file write via unchecked capture paths
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Path traversal in Mobile Next Mobile MCP before 0.0.49 allows remote attackers to write host files through screen-capture tools. The mobile_save_screenshot and mobile_start_screen_recording handlers pass saveTo and output directly to filesystem writes without restricting resolved paths. Exploitation requires an MCP-connected AI agent to process attacker-controlled content and invoke a tool; writes run with the server process's filesystem permissions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
