Authenticated private-note disclosure via unfiltered relationship rendering
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Improper authorization in Kovah LinkAce before 2.5.3 allows remote authenticated users to read other users' private notes. The web link detail view renders the Link model's notes relationship directly instead of applying the visibleForUser() filter used by the API. Access requires an account and visibility of the parent internal or public link; disclosure is limited to private notes attached to that link.
