CVE-2026-3394Public exploit

Local application crash via crafted WAV write

Published Mar 1, 2026 · Updated Mar 1, 2026

Memory corruption in SoLoud 20200207 allows local users to crash an embedding application by loading a crafted WAV file. SoLoud::Wav::loadwav allocates sample storage after narrowing decoder-derived frame and channel counts, then indexes writes using those unbounded values. Reachability requires an embedding application to pass attacker-controlled WAV data to load or loadMem; the demonstrated consequence is an invalid write and process termination.
