CVE-2026-33932Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Session hijacking via unsanitized CCDA link attributes

Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026

Stored XSS in OpenEMR before 8.0.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript when a clinician previews a crafted CCDA. The cda.xsl linkHtml template copies every source attribute into an anchor without the output-attrs sanitizer, preserving javascript: URIs and event handlers. A sender needs a CCDA upload or delivery path and a clinician must preview and activate the rendered link; execution in that session exposes non-HttpOnly cookies and permits session hijacking.
