Unauthenticated service interruption via Host header overflow
Published Jul 29, 2026 · Updated Jul 29, 2026
Stack-based buffer overflow in Apache Traffic Server allows remote attackers to interrupt service with an overlong Host header. During redirect handling, the server copies the client-supplied Host value into a fixed-size stack buffer without checking its length. The faulty path requires redirect following; affected releases are 8.0.0 through 8.1.9, 9.0.0 through 9.2.14, and 10.0.0 through 10.1.3, with availability impact only.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=10.0.0 <=10.1.3
