Administrative database compromise via raw DELETE interpolation
Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026
SQL injection in the PostCalendar module in OpenEMR before 8.0.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to read and alter database data. The categoriesUpdate function passes the dels POST parameter through pnVarCleanFromInput(), which strips HTML patterns but leaves SQL syntax, then embeds it in a raw DELETE statement executed by Doctrine DBAL. Administrative access to PostCalendar is required; blind time-based queries can disclose or modify database contents and interrupt database-backed service.
