Service crash via unchecked missing NAS elements
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in Ella Networks Ella Core before 1.7.0 allows attackers to crash the service via crafted NAS messages. The AMF Authentication Response handler calls GetRES on an absent AuthenticationResponseParameter, while the Synchronization Failure path slices and hex-encodes an absent AuthenticationFailureParameter. Unauthenticated attackers with adjacent-network access can terminate the core process and disrupt service for all connected subscribers.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
