Unauthenticated administrator access via passkey registration
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Authentication bypass in franklioxygen MyTube before 1.8.71 allows remote attackers to obtain administrator sessions through WebAuthn. The passkey registration and verification handlers accept unauthenticated requests, persist the supplied credential, and issue an administrator token when it later authenticates. When login protection is enabled, no existing account or credential is required to read or replace the database and lock out the legitimate administrator.
