Open redirect via URL parsing differential
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Open redirect in Statamic CMS before 5.73.16 or 6.0.0.alpha.1 through 6.7.1 allows remote attackers to redirect users externally. Redirect validation on unauthenticated form-submission and authentication endpoints treats crafted external URLs as internal because its URL parsers disagree. No account is required, but a user must follow the resulting redirect; the reported impact is navigation to an attacker-chosen external site.
