Authenticated user-data disclosure via arbitrary fieldtype augmentation
Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026
Information disclosure in Statamic CMS before 5.73.16 and 6.0.0-alpha.1 through 6.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to read user data. MarkdownFieldtypeController::preview trusted the client-supplied config type, instantiated that fieldtype, and called augment on the supplied value without restricting it to markdown. Control-panel access is required; selecting users exposes email addresses, encrypted passkey data, and encrypted two-factor authentication codes, without reported write access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
