Service interruption via wrapped CGATS allocation
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Integer overflow in Android-ImageMagick7 before 7.1.2-11 allows local users to interrupt image processing via a crafted CGATS file. AllocateDataSet in liblcms2-2.9/src/cmscgats.c multiplies attacker-controlled field and set counts without bounds checks, allowing the allocation size to wrap before SetData writes beyond the heap buffer. Exploitation requires an Android app to open the file with user interaction; published sources do not distinguish a crash from another form of service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
