CVE-2026-33850

Memory corruption via invalid JPEG subsampling ratios

Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026

Out-of-bounds write in the bundled JPEG decoder in WujekFoliarz DualSenseY before 54 allows local users to corrupt process memory. The stbi__process_frame_header function accepts component sampling factors that are not integer ratios, although its resamplers cannot safely process those values. Exploitation requires the application to process a crafted JPEG with user interaction; published evidence establishes memory corruption but not a specific follow-on outcome.
