Resource exhaustion in golang.org/x/image/tiff before 0.38.0 allows attackers to crash Go applications with a crafted TIFF file. When Decode or DecodeConfig receives an io.Reader without ReaderAt, a 0xFFFFFFFF IFD offset makes buffer.fill grow toward 4 GiB before reaching the eight-byte input's end. The application must pass attacker-controlled TIFF data through that path; the allocation can exhaust memory and terminate the process.
