Authenticated code execution via unchecked qos copy
Published Mar 1, 2026 · Updated Mar 1, 2026
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda F453 1.0.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via a crafted qossetting request. The fromqossetting function in httpd passes the user-controlled qos value to strcpy without checking its length, overflowing the stack-based dest buffer. Low-privileged access to the web-management endpoint is required; successful exploitation can crash the service or run code in the httpd process.
