Admin file manipulation via template path traversal
Published Apr 22, 2026 · Updated Apr 22, 2026
Path traversal in EspoCRM before 9.3.4 allows remote authenticated users to read, write, or delete files through the HTTP API. TemplateManager passes request-controlled name and scope values to TemplateFileManager, which interpolates them into paths without normalization or traversal filtering. Exploitation requires administrator privileges, and operations remain limited to body.tpl or subject.tpl files permitted by the web application user's filesystem access.
