Learning progress manipulation via unchecked user ID
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
IDOR in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.38 and 2.0.0-alpha.1 through 2.0.0-RC.2 allows remote authenticated users to alter learning progress. The lp_ajax_save_item.php endpoint passes the request uid to save_item(), which loads and writes the target user's score, status, completion, and time without matching that identifier to the authenticated session. Course enrollment is sufficient, and changing uid lets one enrolled user overwrite another user's Learning Path records without user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
