Unauthenticated code execution via installer global overwrite
Published Apr 10, 2026 · Updated Apr 10, 2026
PHP code injection in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.38 allows remote attackers to execute code through exposed installer scripts. The main/install/index.php handler copies arbitrary POST keys into global variables, and installer routines interpolate those values into app/config/configuration.php without escaping single quotes or backslashes. No authentication or user interaction is required, but main/install/ must remain present and readable; successful exploitation writes files with the PHP process permissions and executes injected configuration code.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
