CVE-2026-33693Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated SSRF via unspecified-address validation bypass

Published Mar 27, 2026 · Updated Mar 27, 2026

SSRF in Lemmy before 0.7.0-beta.9 allows remote attackers to reach localhost services through malicious ActivityPub references. The activitypub-federation-rust v4_is_invalid() function accepts 0.0.0.0 because it omits the Ipv4Addr::UNSPECIFIED check before outbound resolution. Exploitation requires control of a remote domain referenced by unauthenticated federation traffic and exposes services bound only to the target host.
