Pre-authentication crash via unchecked dynamic-channel lengths
Published Apr 17, 2026 · Updated Apr 17, 2026
Out-of-bounds reads in xrdp before 0.10.6 allow remote attackers to crash a connection process or disclose service memory before authentication. The pre-authentication RDP dynamic-channel parser processes client-controlled communication without first validating the available input-buffer length. Specially crafted packets during initial connection handling are sufficient; the bounded consequences are a process crash or disclosure of sensitive memory contents.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
