Stored XSS via reversed about-field sanitization
Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026
Stored XSS in World Wide Broadcast Network AVideo 26.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in visitors' browsers. The setAbout path entity-encodes the about value before strip_specific_tags can match dangerous tags, then channelBody.php decodes and echoes the raw HTML. Any registered user can plant the payload, but execution requires another user, including an unauthenticated visitor, to open the attacker's public channel page, enabling session theft or page manipulation.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
