Database compromise via unsanitized plugin path
Published Mar 23, 2026 · Updated Mar 23, 2026
Path traversal in WWBN AVideo 26.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute filesystem SQL files against its database. The endpoint passes the POST name to Plugin::getDatabaseFileName(), whose fixName() handling returns most input unchanged before reading install/install.sql. Administrator access is sufficient; absent CSRF validation also lets remote attackers induce an authenticated administrator's browser to run SQL that can read, alter, or disrupt the database.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
